Dr Karen Robinson

Dr Karen Robinson

The experience of connecting with individual patients during her hospital training is what led Dr Karen Robinson to pursue a profession in General Practice. In 2012 she completed the primary course with the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) that immediately changed her approach to the practice of medicine.

After completing a science degree that allowed her to recognise an interest in the medical sciences, Dr Karen pursued a degree in medicine; she graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000. Her hospital years were spent at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and The Prince Charles and Hervey Bay Hospitals. Six months training in paediatrics at the Royal Children’s Hospital was the start of her career in General Practice.

2012 saw Dr Karen’s first introduction to functional and nutritional medicine, and it has been the foundation of her practice since. Grounded in the fundamental sciences of nutrition, physiology and biochemistry, Nutritional and Integrative medicine resonated with Dr Karen. Focusing on the core areas of endocrine and hormone health (including thyroid, adrenals and sex hormones), Gut health, Mental health (Biobalance and Neurotransmitter testing), and the fundamentals of diet and basic nutritional requirements, Dr Karen continues to train in this ever-changing field.

PLEASE NOTE – Dr Robinson has closed her books and is not seeing new patients at this time.
